Over a million dollars in bonds is stolen from a ship before it mysteriously sinks. When the owner is shot dead famous detective James Lee Wong (Boris Karloff) has no choice but to investigate. Alongside plucky reporter Bobbie Logan, Wong is drawn into a terrifying world of mystery, intrigue and lies.
